  • You need equal amounts of baking soda and an anti-dandruff or any other cleansing shampoo to make a thick paste out of it. 
  • Moisten your hair with some water and apply this paste on your hair. 
  • Leave it on for a few minutes. 
  • Rinse hair with warm water (make sure the water isn’t too hot)

This one also works just like hydrogen peroxide. Lemon juice is highly acidic so it can also irritate your scalp. Consider using a small amount on your skin to see if you are not allergic to it.

  • Take some lemon juice and some water or hair conditioner in a 2:1 ratio. 
  • Apply it onto your hair or specifically the parts you want to lighten. (The less the better)
