Fabrics like cotton, rayon, linen, etc. are best suited for sweating souls. Not just fabrics but colors also play a major role in regulating sweat. Light colors like white, cream, pastel shades are preferred over colors like black, brown or red.
2. Vinegar
Vinegar especially Apple Cider Vinegar when applied to the skin acts as an astringent to help remove bacteria and close up pores. You can apply vinegar directly on the places prone to sweat like underarms or thighs. You can then put on clothes as it dries up.
3. Avoid Certain Foods
If at a social event you wish to not sweat excessively, you must avoid certain foods. Spicy food and too much caffeine should be avoided. Spicy foods react to our body the same way it does to any other heat. You must always drink lots of water as staying hydrated will avoid sweating.
4. Cornstarch and Baking Soda
Cornstarch and baking soda have great water-absorbing properties. Baking soda is like a natural deodorant and it attacks the bacteria loving acids in the sweat. Make a paste mixing cornstarch and baking soda in water. Make sure your underarms are dry before applying this mixture. Use it before bed for about half an hour and then rinse it clean. Do not leave the mixture for more than half an hour as it can irritate your skin. Use it every night before bed and you will see visible results in no time.
5. Wheatgrass Juice
Rich with Vitamin A, C, B12, B6, and folic acid is a great detoxifier. Drinking just a tablespoon of wheatgrass juice every day keeps sweat at bay. It is also an amazing remedy to reduce odor from sweat.
6. Tea Tree Oil
Just like vinegar, tea tree oil acts as an astringent to fight sweat causing bacteria. Using a few cotton balls, apply tea tree oil on your underarms every day and you will notice a visible difference.
7. Lemon Reduces Sweating Problem
The acid in lemon makes it a perfect agent to reduce excessive sweating. You can rub half a lemon on your dry underarms before baking or you can mix a small amount of lemon juice with baking soda and apply it with cotton and later rinse it off. It is a great way to rapidly reduce the sweating problem.
8. Witch Hazel
Witch hazel is an herb found in nature which a great home remedy for sweaty armpits. It dries out your skin naturally and therefore prevents sweating. Make a powder out of this herb and then adding some water to make a thick paste. Put the paste on your skin and then after half an hour rinse it off.
9. White Sandalwood powder
Sandalwood is famous for its cooling properties. Make a paste with sandalwood powder and rose water or you can replace rosewater with lemon juice or simple water. Put the paste on your dry armpits and let it dry out completely. Then rinse it off with cold water. It will not only reduce sweating but will also make your armpits lighter in complexion.
10. Stay Hydrated
A dehydrated body produces more sweat. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water on a daily basis to keep your body temperature on the cooler side. Staying hydrated means no sweat.
