Sleepovers are like mini getaways with your friends, after all, a fun sleepover on a weekend is exactly what you need after a long and tiresome week! But, are you sure you’re enjoying your sleepover? Or do you just gossip and talk a bit, watch a movie, and go to sleep, because that’s not fun at all. What’s the point of having a sleepover if you don’t play any sleepover games, and instead do the same things which you could simply do by yourselves? So, have a fun sleepover instead! And the best way to make sure that you do have a great time is by playing some fun and exciting games!
7 Exciting Sleepover Games
Take a look at some of the best sleepover games you could play and make your night stays all the more memorable. But beware, because this is an adult game zone only!
1. Spin the Bottle
This classic game of truth and dare is always one of the best ways to spark up excitement and fun! And all you need is an empty bottle for the game. Sit together in a circle (if there is more than two of you) and start by deciding what end of the bottle stands for what – for instance, if the cap of the bottle lands on someone, then they would ask the person on the opposite end “truth or dare?” and the later would have to pick one. And voila, you can start your game! You could also add some twists to the dares and come up with fun and creative ones of your own! Ditch the old prank calling and texting your crush dare and add some excitement to it; some fun dares you could use:
- Eat a spoonful of mustard/mayo.
- Do a freestyle rap for a minute or so.
- Mimic someone from the players.
- Sing everything you say for the next 5 minutes.
- Do crunches till your turn comes next.
- Chug a glass of plain milk.
- Call up your relative/friend/crush and sing them a song in a language that they don’t know how to use.
- Do the makeup of the person sitting next to you.
2. Never Have I Ever
Yet another classic game to the rescue! The rules are simple and the game is fun. First things first, you’re going to need something to drink to play this game (preferably alcohol to spice things up) so, pick your poison. Now, sit together in a group and let one person start the game by saying “Never have I ever”, and adding something that they have never done in their entire life. And whosoever has done that thing, takes a sip from their drink! And this way, the game continues in a circle.
3. Pillow Fights and Board Games
You are never too old to play sleepover games like pillow fights and board games. And if you are more than two people, then to get the best out of the game split the group into two teams and then play. You could also add some fun challenges or keep a dare for the team that loses or anything of your choice for that matter. So, what are you waiting for? Unleash the child inside you and have a pillow fight worth remembering! And the same goes for the board games. Whether it is monopoly, checkers, or ludo, a little competition is always great!
4. Make your own Cocktail
This is ‘make your own pizza’, but with a little twist – replace pizza with cocktails. This is the time for you to show your creativity and whip up your cocktails with the ingredients of your choice! Just stock up on alcohol, sodas, and fruits (if you need them as toppings or for flavor), and you’re all set!
You could also pre-order pizza as you do this and make the game more fun by judging each other’s drink and scoring it without telling what score you’re giving to what drink and just write it down. And then, total it up and the person who has the most votes and scores the highest, wins! Or better yet, the winner gets to give anybody a dare of his/her own choice! Oh, how exciting!
5. Card Games
Play some classic card games like blackjack, napoleon, poker, heck, even uno! This is one of the best sleepover games for adults as it is both fun and relaxing as you can sit and chill and play them. And here’s a tip to make even card games more exciting if you want – put something at stake and spice the competition up!
6. Karaoke Night
Set up the playlist of your choice and get ready for an amazing karaoke night! Not only is this a great way to get the party going, but drunk singing is the recipe for some of the best and the most hilarious moments worth remembering.
7. Would you Rather
If you are looking for a game with no drinking and just sitting and relaxing, then this is just the right choice and you could play this at the end of the night when you’re all too tired to do anything else. And it’s super easy too. Just decide on some common rules and have one person start the game with a “would you rather” question that involves two choices – for instance, “would you rather have the superpower to be invisible or teleport yourself at your convenience?” and have everybody else answer it by making a choice and (if you want), giving a reason behind their answer. And once everybody has answered, the next person is up for asking a question; some interesting would you rather questions you could use:
- Would you rather only eat sweet or savory food for the rest of your life?
- Would you rather have your hands as your feet or the other way round?
- Would you rather travel to the mountains or the beach?
- Would you rather catch your friend cheating or your sibling?
- Would you rather have the ability to read others’ minds or control other’s minds?
So, get the party mode on and have the night of your life with these awesome sleepover games!
